Department Annual Report (ICT)

A few years ago, vocational courses were thought to be for people who did not have the aptitude to study in a college and thus, needed skills in a particular field, to gain employment. This scenario, however, has completely changed today. These days, people have realized the importance of vocational education to gain skills related to a particular field so that their job prospects can improve.

The Koronadal National Comprehensive High School-Vocational Department upholds that vocational education programs for high school can provide students with the opportunity not only to learn a trade but also be absorbed in their desired field to determine whether that career path is the right choice for them. Vocational programs for high school students provide beneficial job skills that can be used before or after college and even as a direct entry opportunity into the workforce.

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT

Knowing that student learning continues beyond the classroom, the Vocational Department strongly encourages students to become involved in programs and activities to enhance their educational experience and personal growth.

The Koronadal National Comprehensive High School is a vast and evolving place – providing abundant opportunities for students to partake in its offerings, discover new pieces of one self and refine the talents which lie within. Taking part in this opportunity, the Vocational Department maintains a sense of community by providing opportunities for social interaction and student participation in community life and student governance.
